Comic Book Showosky | DC on Television – November 22 to 28, 2015

Gloryosky avoided doing articles like this for a long time. I’m not a big fan of “what’s on this week” pieces – in fact, this is the first time Gloryosky posts such an article. I’ve grown to accept that articles like this have their place in the promotional chain, and that live-blogging live-to-air episodes on Twitter doesn’t help Gloryosky as much as I thought it would in 2014.

If Gloryosky mentions Canadian program services first (and in iZombie’s case, streaming service shomi), it’s because Gloryosky is a Canadian site and needs to service the Canadian audience first. Synopses come from CBS Press Express (Supergirl) and CTV Television (The Flash, Gotham).

Gotham 2.10: “The Son of Gotham” (CTV/Fox, November 23, 8:00 PM ET/PT)
“Gordon (Ben McKenzie) confronts a suspect who is connected to Galavan (James Frain), but falls short of obtaining any information. Meanwhile, Bruce (David Mazouz) gets one step closer to discovering the name of his parents’ killer.”

Supergirl 1.4: “How Does She Do It?” (Global/CBS, November 23, 8:00 PM ET/PT)
“Kara’s two identities are stretched thin when Supergirl must protect National City from a series of bombings and Kara is tasked with babysitting Cat’s son, Carter. Also, James is conflicted when his ex-girlfriend Lucy Lane seeks to rekindle their relationship…Levi Miller guest stars as Carter Grant, Cat’s son, and Jenna Dewan-Tatum guest stars as Lucy Lane.”
(This was the episode of Supergirl meant to air November 16, 2015. It was delayed a week due to the episode’s close proximity in timing with the November 2015 Paris attacks. Episode 1.5, “Livewire”, aired in its place.)

The Flash 2.1: “The Man Who Saved Central City” (rerun; CTV/The CW, November 24, 8:00 PM ET/PT)
“Picking up months after the Singularity attacked Central City, Barry (Grant Gustin) is still struggling to forgive himself for Eddie’s (Rick Cosnett) death. Concerned about putting his friends in danger, Barry has pushed everyone away and has chosen to protect the city on his own. When a meta-human named Atom Smasher (Adam Copeland, Haven) attacks the city, Iris (Candice Patton) tells Barry that he needs to let his friends help him protect the citizens of Central City. Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) helps Joe (Jesse L. Martin) with his Meta Task Force.”

CTV preempts Arrow on November 25, 2015 to air Adele Live in London.

The Flash 2.8 and Arrow 4.8 air December 1 and 2, 2015 at 8:00 PM ET/PT, as part of the second crossover between the two shows (the kids still call it Flarrow). iZombie returns December 2 on shomi, with “The Hurt Stalker”. More details are available next week, if this article is successful enough.
