In other news, Bravo promotes Homeland after the latest 19-2 episode this week, instead of the generic 19-2 “critics rave” promo. It’s part of that trend in Canadian television where the Canadian services re-edit American promos for their own ends, yet don’t usually promote specific episodes of Canadian shows. As of the time I type this (March 16, 2015 at 11:24 PM ET), the last upload from Bravo Canada’s YouTube channel is a “sneak peek” for the eighth episode of 19-2’s second season. That episode aired one week ago. I realize the Internet audience isn’t the television audience, yet promotion works better the longer it’s visible. I shouldn’t explain the concept of leverage to Gloryosky readers. CBC at least gets it.
